God Is Absolutely Reliable

So this is what the Sovereign Lord says: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic.”
Isaiah 28:16

Ever feel so panicked by a situation that you felt you couldn’t move? Or perhaps you were afraid that if you took a step, it would be in the wrong direction.

Indebtedness, a sudden loss of income, divorce, illness—these are the circumstances that tempt us toward panic. Panic indicates that we’re at the end of our resources. Fear beckons and causes us to flail about.

When you feel like you’re in an impossible situation, this is the time to stop, take a deep breath, and bring your circumstances to God. Even in your most panic-stricken moments, you can rely on God. It’s a process. But you can believe he’s with you, that he cares enough and is big enough to help.

GOD’S PROMISE TO ME
• If you rely on me, you won’t be panic stricken.

MY PRAYER TO GOD
O Lord, I desperately need your help. Instead of trying to solve my dilemmas myself, I want to let you guide. Show me the way to go.
